The snow thing is just getting a little to much.
Some of the roads around me are getting dangerous to drive on, the snow drifts are higher than my truck and you can't see whats coming at you in an intersection, simply because of the height of the snow piles.

You know something, If Katie were to ever come north, I have a fireplace, and sleigh bed with flannel sheets and a goose down blanket..we would NOT see the world until spring time.
(except when the babies are being born, then I need to be in the barn).

This morning marked our 42nd day of starting at sub-zero temps (F).
But.........weather guy says it's the last one, for a week or so anyway.  Have some upper 20s and later on next week some 30 degree temps, maybe zooming up to 40.  Lots of thermometers in Minnesota don't go much higher than that.  :roll:

A welcom break.  Hang on Atlanta.  Another go round for ya.  Hope you learned some lessons from the last ice storm.

Couldn't believe my eyes.  At 5 AM CST, it's 16 above F.  High of maybe 20.  Next week maybe even upper 30s and a 40!  Thaw!!!!!

Time to get out the light weight clothes and open some windows.  Hope it makes it to Michigan, Watcher.

Me too, as it will have to go through us to get to Michigan.  8)  Forecast for next week says 40s, maybe even a 50.

Wednesday Morning here....10:10AM, just waiting for the big storm to hit (sometime around midnight tonight). The new predections for snowfall are at least 14 inches to the most 26 inches. The storm should last from midnight thru to Friday morning.
Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Kansas have all positioned powerline trucks in New Jersey.
The Govenor is expected to declare a state of emergency and close all major highways after midnight. Here at our place, dad has a huge "Cat" loader rented for the storm to move snow. (it even comes with a driver/operator).
LOL....me?...I got lots of firewood stacked up and ready for use.
This should be fun......

Thursday Morning....we now have 12 inches on the ground (started snowing at 1AM last night). They are calling for the storm to "end" on Friday late morning..leaving a total snow fall of 28 inches in the NW of New Jersey. "Oh Joy".!!!

It's official, 14 inches of snow right now,
There is a lull in the storm right now (approx 8 hours) before next wave hits New Jersey.  The next storm is expected to bring another 12+ inches before it ends on Friday.

Well Liz, if you ever decide to move to Minnesota, you'll have some experience at winter weather.  

That is a major storm.  It would mess things up here, and we have the equipment to handle it.  Doubt NJ has a fraction of the plows we have in just the metro area.  I do feel for you....not that I'd be willing to have the snow here instead.  There is a limit to sympathy.

Yep, that's a topper.  Years ago, I did have a team of sled dogs, when I lived in Northern MN.  Nothing like something with fur to pull you around.

We had 9" of snow on Monday, 7" more on Wednesday morning, 17" more yesterday and then another 4" over night.  Tomorrow they are saying 3"............not sure if that even counts as storm anymore.

Perhaps you could have Elizabeth bring her Team of horses over and take you to the store in a sleigh?
