a few of us on the street have our driveways shoveled.. but there is still 2 foot of snow on the untouched street. most of the main roads have been cleared i assume but we;re still snowbound.

Crikeys, this town SHUTS DOWN with 4 inches of snow.  I don't even want to imagine what Dallas would do with 2 to 3 feet of the stuff!  It'd be Frozen Hell on Earth!

Crews are working around the clock.  In my neck of the woods, the main roads are opening back up.  Restaurants opened this evening, to the cheers and libations of us all.  It was warm enough to start melting now, but it's now cold enough to re-freeze it.  Tomorrow's going to be really slick.

But the worst is in the past.  And honestly, it sounds like they did really well at keeping power up in most places.

It is currently 49F in Tucson and expected to drop to 32F tonight.  It will be cold for us, especially because we had 80F temps all last week.
