November is finally over. Besides being the cloudiest month of the year, this year it was one of the colder ones on record. Came in number nine on the list of coldest Novembers since records were first kept.
Little snow in our area. This old man appreciates that. Even a couple inches requires me to get out the snowblower. Shoveling is taking it's toll. I now finally know why they tell older men not to shovel. I can't feel too bad about using the snowblower. A guy down the street is out there with his leafblower!
So, cold weather and no snow. For those of you farther south, that means lots of broken water mains. Little snow to insulate the ground means the frost goes down deep, freezing water lines. All over town you see barricades up where water is running in the gutters as it bubbles up from a broken pipe. The joys of north country living.
Single digit temps yesterday, but the next two weeks look like temps in 20s and 30s. Almost T-shirt weather for us.
