Texas knows of snow. You people up in the Great White North haren't the only ones to suffer in winter. A single inch  of snow can bring Dallas to its knees for days!!!!

Yes Katie, we up here are well antiquated with snow.

And yet....the first snow fall, even a couple inches causes hundreds of crashes and brings the streets and highways to a crawl.  You'd think people would remember the driving skills needs on snow and ice.  After all we deal with it five to six month out of the year.  How short season without the white stuff can cause so many to forget is beyond me. :emot_weird:

No doubt snow in Texas would be a problem.  How many snow plows and stockpiles of road salt can you have down there for something the rarely happens?

Katie, I think you probably get more ice storms then we do.  Which is way worse then snow I think.

The weather didn't report it until AFTER it happened, but I had light sleet and freezing rain on the way home from work just now here in Dallas.  Oh, joy, here we go again...

Their temp reporting SUCKS.  I had to chip the ice off of my windshield before braving the roads an hour ago.  33F, my aging ass!

<hmmm... that reminds me, I need to download 'Harold and Maude' to watch again...>

No snow on the ground today but it is snowing and 30.

It's beautiful here in the UK... heavy dark clouds... and horrible wet stuff tipping it down... so different to the last two or three days sunshine...

Another inch of snow Saturday.  Not enough to plow, the city's just let it sit and turn to ice.

Six killed on highways around the metro area, including a mother and child. 

People of Minnesota!!!  It does this every fucking year.  How can you continue to be so stupid and not take extra care!!!  Oh well, there's a few of you we don't have to worry about now.

Actually closer to Brize Norton RAFB than Swindon (sorta in the middle).
