Tropical depression down in Mexico has been throwing rain all over south and central Texas. Not really a gully washer, but scattered light showers keeping everything moist and humid. High today is only 87°. So that is nice.

Summer solstice. Longest day of the year and the official first day of summer.

And the coolest day we've had in the past week.🤣

It's been really fucking hot here over the past two days. It reached 90 yesterday and 93 today. I went for a run this morning around 8:30 am when it was 88, ran about 1.5 miles, and then walked back home.

Forecast calls for 94° or 95° the rest of the week.  98° next week.

Had one hell of a storm roll through yesterday evening. Lighting was everywhere, the boom and roll of thunder was nearly nonstop. It was both worrying and beautiful. I love a good thunderstorm, and love them even more when it leaves no damage behind

Good to hear no damage. We had a very hot and humid day yesterday. I was worried that good throw out a serious storm. Nothing. We've had too much.rain. Parts of the state are having serious flooding. National Guard has been called out in several communities.

After posting that I heard that a 120 year old family farm was destroyed by a tornado that touched down yesterday. Now I feel bad for saying that.😔

Highs in the upper 90°s this week, but we’ve only hit 100° once. Forecast of mid-80°s next week, which will feel like sweater weather.

Happy (SOGGY) 4th of July.

Weather not cooperating this holiday for Minneapolis area. Woke up to rain and cool temps and likely to stay this way all day.

As good Minnesotans we roll with the punches. Most places that has fireworks planned for today moved their displays in last night.

90s up to a hundred, sticky humid, and likely to get rain over the next four days depending on whether Beryl stays close to Mexico or drifts up.

It’s going to drift up according to latest projections.

They are projecting landfall north of Brownsville, which means a shit load of rain on the leading northern edge of the storm. So San Antonio and Austin could be in for a gully washer. We need the rain.

Lake Travis's water level is 634.19 feet, which is 46.81 feet below flood pool elevation. This is also 32.56 feet below its historical average for July.

Triple digit temps for at least the next six days. Very unusual in the Pacific Northwest. Cleaned my AC filters today.
