they are saying rain for Thursday and Friday. Might try for a late mow tonite

Thanks for the heads up on that.  I need to put Milo down before the rain.

*edit* still thinking it's Monday and I have a few days.  Okay, need Dan to get me a bag of Milo (Milogranite) today or tomorrow.

Still hot and humid when we went to bed last night so the.a/c stayed on. This morning,.after a 90 degree day, I opened the windows to a breezy low 60s.

After a week of very hot weather it feels like a touch of fall. Rest of the month looks pleasant (fingers crossed).

Arlie's today we had a big rain storm, then clear skies.  A storm just starting.  Thunder and lightning expected soon.  I love a stormy night.

It's been beastly hot up here for the past 3-4 days. When I went for a run around 6:15 am this morning, it was already in the low 80s, and very humid. Right now it's 95.

Meanwhile, since I returned home after me run, I've trying to come up with the word that described the sound of peeling sweat-soaked clothing off your body. Perhaps something like "squlash." Purple Shoes, our resident wordsmith, any suggestions?

Fwerp?  😏

Sounds like a wet f@rt.  Sorry to poo-poo your word ( see what I did there)

I think it starts with an SL or SQ.    SQUIRSH. SLERSH.
Maybe I'll have Dan get all sweaty then have him strip for me.

In the interests of science, I followed the same pattern today as yesterday: 6:15 am run, 82 degrees, 100% humidity.

This time I tried to listen to the sound as I pulled my jogging bra away from my body and over my head.

I think PS is correct, it's more like "fwerp." The same with my shorts. They're tight, and it wasn't one motion (I basically had to roll them down), but still, several little fwerps.

Standing there naked, I turned the shower on cold, and then jumped under the spray. It felt delightful as the cold water hit my body.

[yes...tease...]

P.S. Theo entered the bathroom with me as he usually does. I asked him to describe the sound, but he simply gave me his typically inscrutable look. He's seen me naked and showering many times, and he never reacts. I think he's gay.

I need to talk to Theo. Cats can be very descriptive about what they see.

Then again my neighbors had a tomcat that used to jump their dog Reggie

After thinking about it for a few days, I think a bit of a softer sound would be closer.

Something like...

Fwissp

Or maybe Fwissh

Un fucking believable.

Not only has this been the hottest summer in history, we’ve had more 110°+ degree days than ever recorded. It is literally like walking around in an oven. It’s been a very long time since it has either rained or been in the low 70°’s. I’m going to enjoy this.

45° when I stepped outside this morning. There was a slight haze in the air that made me think I was seeing my own breath. Not cold enough for that, but it sure as hell felt like it. Long sleeves and pants on my morning jog.

We started out in the 50s this morning. By noon it was up to the 70s. Windows back open and long pants exchanged for shorts.

Love this changeable season.

We started out at 71° this morning (heaven), up to 95° (tolerable). The rain started about an hour ago, and it is predicted to rain on and off for the next 24 hours. High tomorrow will be 85° but I’m telling you folks, it’s been fucking Arizona here this summer.

Cool morning in the 60s with very light rain. Doubt if it will relieve our drought conditions, butsy settle some dust.

Will have highs in the 70s this weekend. Then Monday we get some summer weather with 80s for highs. The good thing is the nights will cool off.
