heat, then rain, then thunderstorms. My poor rain Lilies are so confused they stopped blooming. But I guess I will have to wait until the stormy/rainy season to dry up, before I can seal my deck. That is one project I dread doing. But I also hope the wood does not warp in this constant rain/heat either. Busted my thumb once building the damned thing, not happening again.

Beautiful. No clouds, all sun.  The next door neighbor is out of town.  Dan is golfing. Little one is in camp all day.  Locked the gate to the back yard,  M and I are sunning trying to get rid of tan lines for the dresses we're wearing to a wedding next week.  Feel like I'm back on the beach in France.

Finally getting some rain. Lawn hasn't been mowed since June. The grass is an arid shade of brown. Only the weeds are green. Saw a bunny this morning going from one green patch of weeds to another, sampling each one. So far the rain is just falling lightly but there's lots of thunder grumbling. All I can think of is that there's a hungry growled one state over from me. ;D

More rain forecast for tomorrow. Hoping our plant life will get some needed relief.

Storms and rain and lower 70s for the temp. Feels cold after all the lovely warmth we were having. Yesterday hit 91° and I was loving it.

deep south right now: Rain, threats of rain, and hot, but the rain fights the hot like two rednecks over the last beer. But I wish I had a pic of saturday night. the sun was down, but the storm clouds looked so pretty, me and wife parked near the vi dock and walked up the bridge to watch the clouds roll in. Kind of calming.

While it's not Texas or Arizona hot, it's been beastly hot up here for close to a week.

On Saturday I went on a 10-mile run while it was 96, and I almost passed out due to the heat.

Today it reached a high of 98. I just got home, and I'm dripping...

It's only 82 here, but it was 62 this morning. Had to out on a thin hoodie when I went for my run. Warmed up really quick though.

The highest temperature for the next 7 days will be 84 on Saturday.  The rest of the days will be in the upper 70s or low 80s. Cooler and less humid than normal.
