Remember the Paul Bunyon restaurant in Hayward?  Or the annual summer log rolling festival?  Best of all was canoeing 25 miles down the then pristine Namekagon River, where you could see the bottom of the river the entire time. Yes, fond memories of youthful summers.

I do. The last time I was there was about 30 years ago. My then in-laws decided to sell the place and move to Florida. But it was a great place.

Our Minnesota Twins home opener for tomorrow has already been postponed. Moved to Friday. Rain and snow are likely tomorrow. Guess that make it too slick to run the bases.

Austin temperatures hit 96° F (36° C) degrees on Tuesday, breaking the record high of 94 for this date that was set in 1936, according to the National Weather Service. The record heat for April 5 is not only a milestone for the date in weather history, the 96-degree reading is rare this time of year in Austin.

The Cubs open up at home today against Milwaukee but the weather feels more like football weather.

Today is sunny, but still cold. Yesteday I dealt with 30°f temps and random snow showers. It just wouldnt stop and by nightfall there was a layer of that white crap everywhere.

April showers brings May flowers, but April snow showers bring an irritable Shiela.  Doesn't have the same ring to it but it's still true.

When me and dad left home, it was 40s and rain. As we went south it obviously got warmer,, and when we got to Kentucky it was 72° with rain, and then when it got dark the tornadoes rolled through. Next morning was 40° but very sunny. As we drove home the weather didnt warm up or cool off, but it was quite windy in spots. Made those big rigs unpredictable on the highway.

Today it's cold and dealing with snow squalls. Rather have 70s and tornadoes.

I don’t think you’d like Texas. It was 32° this week here.

Thank you, thank you.   I'll do with a little rain.  70's & 80's I'll definitely enjoy this weekend.

Not just rain but downpours and a LOT of wind. Followed a guy pulling a camper on the road and he was going 40 in a 55 and getting pushed around all over the place.

I'm sooooo tempted to sneak in a corny old joke about June bustin' out all over, but that would be silly and inappropriate, so I won't.  :emot_sorry:

It would not be silly or inappropriate.  I saw the Broadway musical in 1997, I think
