And now to add to our heat, a severe Thunderstorm watch has been issued until midnight. We don't have central air. We all enjoy, for the most part, having the windows open with a fan going. Storms just mean the windows are closed and we retreat to our rooms with the window air conditioners.

I think we hit a high of 50 yesterday after two days of 93+ temps. High of 65 today

Overnight Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. East southeast wind around 6 mph.

i need another 2 weeks of semiwarm weather for my tomatoes

the cold wet spring we had in upstate NY stunted them. I only have 15 jars of home canned tomatoes, when I want about 100

Today Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a southwest wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

we did not have heavy frosts till last week, so it was great October, and the tomatoes had a nice finish. As psuedo "modern day homesteaders", we ended up with about 250 quarts of pears, peaches, applesauce, jams, and tomatoes, with a nice amount of veggies in the freezer.

Wish I was in AZ... :/ Michigan falls/winters are getting old to me.
Was first year starting a balcony garden. Just a few veggies.
Limited sun... only afternoon and not good direct due to a fricking willow tree in front (which my telekinesis seems to be lacking on being able to will it to fall over during summer storms :/ )
Had many good tomatoes, green peppers grew but not to a decent size.. and I found out about radish/daikon growth and specific soil-type issues. (not in time to get what I had to actually grow besides stalking...)
Debating on bringing in a planter container indoors and trying to grow something inside the place over the winter. But probably won't. No good lighting really.

Ed: Holy crap... weather channel's putting a low-moderate chance of tornadoes for lower MI for Thursday... they're expecting this front to cross US wed-Thurs and be strong. NOAA's just saying showers though....

Calmer night now... still a keen wind... and temperature cooling... lots of trees down round here... tiles off rooves... articulated lorries overturned... double decker bus blown over... road and rail abysmal or non-existent... power supplies out all round thouh we were lucky... the storm  lasted four hours but the consequences will go on for days...
