More fucking snow.  -7°C and falling.  No above-freezing temperatures in the forecast.  Winter is coming here. 

I hate it when the transition from above freezing to below freezing is accompanied by precipitation.  Fucking ice everywhere.

Rainy, yucky fall day.  We don't have a fall color season in Texas.  The leaves tend to turn brown all at once, and then fall off during a rain or wind storm.  Then we have piles of rotting leaves on the ground, and the mold count goes through the roof.

  Decidedly FALL in Washington, DC.

  Daytime 70s most days, Nights 40s/50s, any breeze feels like a chill.

  Great time to visit, see the Mall monuments and Smithsonian Institute.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

Saturday Morning in Chicago (at the airport) It's raining, it's cold, it's crappy......In general a normal fall / winter day in the windy city.

42° right now.  I turned the furnace on before bed.  I suspect it will kick on in the night, and we'll get that dusty, slightly smoky, "first furnace blast of the season" smell.  I love that smell. It signals the beginning of the cool season, which is only about 3.5 months in Texas.

That smell is kind of depressing when it comes in mid-September after a warm season that was only about 3.5 months long.  On the flipside, the mountains have had a meter of snow already and ski season will be starting soon.

OMG, I hate that smell, because as you say, "It signals the beginning of the cool season".

F*ing cold here.   Up to 30 mph wind gusts by 4pm today with a below freezing temps means  Detroit might be looking at single digit wind chill.   I want to cry right now.   

Luckily my remote start on my car is fixed and I remembered to turn the heater up to 80 degrees before I shut the car off.   Now I just need to remember to start it 10 minutes before I'm ready to leave today.    Really, I want to cry right now.  I'm so sad.  :'(
