MJ - that stuff hit us around 4PM today.  First good rain we had in a while. It is the end of the first week of October and still wearing shorts and flip flops. I love it.

Well, my request for no rain fell on deaf ears, because this happened.


Western Michigan vs Akron rained out.  Rescheduled for today at 1:00pm.    So instead of sitting in the rain, we sat in her apartment carving pumpkins with about 8 of her friends and had all the tail gate munchies there. It was so fun.  Lots of dips and chips and pizza and Beer, Seagram coolers(? I think).   I haven't eaten that bad in 20 years.   To make up for it, I got my run in this morning, and while doing so was thinking of all my friends that are running the Detroit Marathon this morning in Detroit and Windsor, Ontario (it crosses the border twice).

It sounds like fun.  I have not carved a pumpkin in years!

It's a fucking nice morning here at 76F, but is forecast to reach 95F around 3pm which is fucking too hot for me!

74° now, perfect fall weather, but a cold front is arriving tonight. It will be 48° by sunrise.  I may have to turn the furnace on, for the first time this year.

The Winds of Change

Getting hit with strong winds out of the WNW now.  That means those two words we hate in Minnesota. ALBERTA CLIPPER!  Temps still above freezing but "They" forecast an inch or two of wet snow by tomorrow morning.  Here comes winter to the northland! :facepalm:

We had a great summer and fall was over the top beautiful, so what we get is what we get.  Still..........
