80's today.  That wonderful, and all too brief, period in Texas when you can actually enjoy being outside.

shIt's about to hit the fan in Detroit this afternoon.

DETROIT - Thunderstorms will redevelop this afternoon, and our severe threat has not changed: large hail, damaging wind gusts, and even a tornado are possible.

Rain this morning (very early), cleared by 8AM.
Some clouds but mostly blue sky and temperature up around 68 degrees.
Not a bad day.

Love,
Liz

Rainy and miserable. Every time I think the good weather is finally here they go and disappoint me again.

While you're waiting in vain for that apology, why don't you make yourself useful by getting on your knees and opening your mouth

Windy and warm. Nice except for all the fucking dust in the air. I've been sneezing and wheezing.  :(

My normal 45 minute commute home was 1-1/2 hours tonight.   Slow traffic because of expessway flooding (4" in spots).    When I got home, my neighbors said it was heavy hail for 5 minutes.   Didn't see any damage to anything around the house.    No reported power outages.   All safe and sound.

Hail.  Ugh.  Our last hail storm broke out our skylight.  Fortunately there are two layers to the thing.

It was originally purchased from Home Depot.  But it's a size they don't carry anymore.  To replace it we'll have to get one custom made.

It was fucking hot, dry, and windy today.

I miss the desert, but I sure don't miss that climate.  You can dust and not be able to tell a few days later.  Hell, when I moved >here<, I climbed up on the trailer to pull my little Metro down, and a cloud of DUST! blew out of the air vents when I fired it up.  One last "Goodbye!" from the Sonora Desert.  My sinuses packed up tight within minutes of that blast.  I've been back to Phoenix once, probably won't do it again until people start dying off.

Head up north.  Low 50s today as a high with weekend in low 60s.  But sunny.

The downside to Dallas weather in Spring:

You can't see it on this map, but there's already been one tornado north of Denton this evening.

edit: and another severe t-storm north of Denton again now... looks like it's split, N and S of the DFW Metroplex for this evening.

Non stop raining for two days.

They said it would rain in Detroit on Thursday (it didn't) Friday (it didn't), Saturday (it didn't), Sunday (hasn't started).

Cool.  Not Spring like.  42 degrees.   Need it a lot warmer for shorts.   I'm getting sick of wearing my jeans.
