Oh, fuck me. San Antonio had baseball-sized hail earlier today. It's our turn tomorrow.
edit: a day later and the line is about two hours away. What looks like the most promising part for vortexes is headed my way. It's just passed Abilene at the moment. It doesn't look like it's worth spawning a twister, but that could all change in the next hour+. We're under watch until midnight, but it looks like it'll clear the area by 11pm.
We failed. As a test, we randomly asked 30 employees where they'd head in the building if we announced a tornado warning, everyone get to a storm shelter. ONE and only one got it right. A couple of them were hilariously wrong. Yeah, the warehouse, with lots of big roll-up doors that will blow RIGHT IN, turning a million parts in the warehouse into a giant-sized chipper/shredder. Ummm, the warehouse might not be a good spot to bunker-down, folks.
Update at 10pm: only one tornado watch up around Sherman, then nothing except for two more watch areas around Broken Arrow, OK. The storm's minutes from hitting here and it's all good in Dallas; just rain, wind and lightning.
