New Hampshire weather topsy turvy today. Low dark clouds early morning, drizzle, then clearing mid-morning to bright sun, clear sky mid-day, then big dark ominous clouds in the afternoon, scattered showers, then strong gusting winds blew my vehicle across the road several times. More showers, then clear again but a big patch of sky showing mammatus clouds, which I'd seen pictures of but this was the first time I'd seen them in the sky with my own eyes. These are really strange looking, indicative of very turbulent sky, high wind shear, big aviation hazard if your plane gets caught in them.
The wind gusts were not quite a tornado, but lots of debris being whipped up high into the air.
On the bright side, crocus shoots now sticking their heads up.
