Not that I know much about the in's and out's of it, but freedom of speech Athos...

It's not illegal to post underage stories as long as they are clearly marked as fictional, so as far as things go, they're here to stay until the law changes - please correct me if I'm wrong.

One point, they don't have to be clearly marked, or marked at all, as fictional.  Though if they're true, and one is/was the adult participant, it's kind of stupid to tell them where LEAs can see them.

And for exactly the same reason.

But you will find "Guns and Ammo" because they sell books and magazines, not hardware, and last I checked child porn stories count as books (well except that it's hard to find dead tree porn of any kind these days).

Been on many boards?

There seems to be a lack of knowledge about how they operate, how rules function, and a serious failure to understand that while we are allowed to play here, we do so with permission. We don't own the board.

We have to comply with US law on web content.

We do not allow any images, clothed  or not of anyone under 18 years of age. There are times when it is hard to judge this criteria, particularly when the images have been removed from their context as they are with the 'collages' of sevispac. Obviously its Lois's ass that's on the line (and of course the whole of KB) if we break the law on under age images. So we can't take any risks. I have removed any colarges that have school references just in case.

Finally all fiction is presently within US law, but what we don't want is for KB to be a magnet for pedophilia themed stories and we may have to limit this content in future as the Archives have already done.

Any now submitted are put in the bookshelf area (where you cannot search for them) and not in the main sections.

And I think it is that *magnet for pedophilia* that concerns me and others.  Most of the folks here are people that enjoyed reading erotica on Kristen's Stories, and discovered KB.  We are not full time pornographers, have relatively *normal* lives, and enjoy the freedom of expression and ideas that KB represents.  The "problem" arises (IMHO) when the "professionals" migrate in from other locations and do whatever they are used to doing on other boards and forums, which are not "typical" for our site.

Stories with characters below a certain age, I forget the exact age, engaging in sexual activities are only posted to the Book Shelf section, not to the main page.  And sorted alphabetically by title.

This irritates me as those are the stories I'm particularly looking for.  It's better than they're being removed/banned completely, but not by much.

Of course, those are the things people want to censor.
