Pam: "Did I miss something? Are we girls now? Did we join a book club and read some queer chick lit memoirs and are bound together by estrogen or sisterhood or some other feminist drivel?"

There's probably another 50 or more pages of this, shall I continue?
Lists of quotes are not clever, not funny, not original, the whole point of a quote is its context and meaning to an individual, lists of random quotes are a bit like shopping lists, how about starting a thread of those?

The goat joke is one of those jokes that is funny once, with each repetition it just shows lack of wit, boos for lack of creativity guys.

I just started a thread about quotes. Yes, there were some underlying reasons but those would be plainly obvious to anyone who ventured over to 1408. The fact that you are throwing a tantrum over a thread about QUOTES though...well I'll leave it there before this goes into 1408 territory too.

Oh wait, it probably already has...I'm wondering why you haven't taken the opportunity to dump this thread in 1408 with the rest of the threads you don't like.

I guess we should be honored that you have taken the time to PERSONALLY evaluate the value of the contents of this thread compared to the hundreds of threads on this board you probably haven't even glanced at.

Bottom line is, a thread like this existed before. People posted in it regularly. You never made a fuss about it before. Hell, you yourself used to post quotes where we now have a "Pervert of the Month" listed on the main page. But you deleted that old thread in a moment of anger. Now that you feel threatened (by what, I don't know), you are freaking out and spamming your own board. Take a couple of days off...relax...you're taking this way too seriously if the goat thing is getting to you.

lmao...seriously? A lack of wit? We're still not in 1408 so I'm trying to treat this like a normal thread but I'm wondering when hugo swapped places with grm now.

Every time I see the term goat I think "greatest of all time."  I'd think a list of the best authors, scientists, historical figures, and other people of influence is more interesting than looking at photos of a mammal that has been known to ingest tin cans.

Welcome back TD, you just made my day.
'You see hope is a good thing' (end of quote,) this is how quotes mean something, not in random lists.

I've enjoyed the time Chad and I have spent online, on and off KB.  Here's why Chad likes quotes.  They aren't about the cutting and pasting.  It's about the mirror that everyone holds up when they select a quote.  It's something that lets you peek into the soul of the poster, and into your own soul.

Yes, there are plenty of other places where you can get stories, quotes, porn, and news items Grm.  That doesn't mean we should not create a community here, or that we should judge everything that everyone else does as unworthy.

I think you just have to accept everyone for who they are.  That's where I found my peace with Joan, and with KB as a whole.  I honestly think Melissa could come back (if he isn't back already), and I'd have no problem with it.

"Just go with the flow, and enjoy what speaks to you.  Ignore everything else.  If it doesn't speak to you, it wasn't meant for you in the first place." -- ToeinH2O
You seem to think my criticism of this thread is personal, you are only partly right. My criticism of lists of quotes stand, these lists might mean something, if compiled as a tribute to a favourite personality, but just posted one after the other, no.

Many of you did form on line friendships with feverman, but is he the person you really think he is? A person that creates multiple personalities and then exploits them to deceive those who think he is a friend, is about as low as you can get. OK this is the www and we never know who we are chatting to, unless of course you meet them in person, a risky business, but to do so repeatedly smacks of schizophrenia, you might forgive this, I don't.
