I can take it or leave it. Watched the original trilogy over 30 years ago and found it fun, but I hated the prequels and haven't watched any new Star Wars since.

If you liked the original trilogy, you would like Rogue One. This movie ends exactly where part 4 begins. The writing is sharp. I have to warn you though, that the first thirty minutes are character building and people aren't used to that (it's a relic of a past era), but once you begin to understand and warm up to the characters it is a lot of fun.
