Margaritas with Don Julio Blanco plus a shot with pickleback

How many cocktails do you have to know to be a bartender?

The only one I know is a White Russian, and only because of The Big Lebowski. My local supermarket has a shelf full of ready-mixed canned cocktails. I'd try them if I didn't have this irrational association of cocktails/headaches.

I have no idea, but I figure if you can open a bottle of beer, and can make and Old Fashioned you qualify in most wisconsin bars. My cousin lyndsey worked as a bartender a long time ago, and most drinks she knows now, she learned on the job. Said they had a lamented card with recipes for most common cocktails, and mixers. I think there is a bartender's school. Probably just has you watch cocktail with Tom Cruise

Full Grown Man, an imperial stout. 12.1% ABV. So a few of these will put some hair in your chest. I miss Jed_.

I'll avoid that stout then.

That's Master Jed_ to me. I was thinking about him yesterday when I found my butt plug, and fought back the urge to send him an email.

That sounds like a fun movie. Will check it out.

Knowing nothing about cocktails, I'm always impressed by scenes in movies where someone asks a bartender for a totally obscure cocktail and the bartender says, "Sure, one XYZ coming up."

I worked for a short time as a bartender and the most complicated thing I had to make was a rye and Diet Coke. This was when Coke had brought out "New Coke" and everybody hated the taste so much they were asking for Diet Coke as the mix.

The cure for the cocktail/headache association is a litre of water and 400 mg of Advil before going to bed. I haven't had any sort of a hangover since 1981.

As for what I'm drinking right now -- it's not even 10 AM yet so the beverage of choice is black coffee.

That is all.

Is stout popular in the USA?  On my visits (mainly Florida) I found it hard to avoid Miller Shite or its lookalikes.

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

Thanks for the tip. I pop two ibuprofen pills for headaches but never thought much about the dose until I read your post. It turns out that my cheap generics are 150mg each, so I've been taking 300mg.

The headaches I had in mind were the kind that kick in about an hour after drinking some kinds of wine. They go away fairly soon.

The last time I had a hangover (a long, long time ago) had nothing to do with wines or cocktails. I was staying in a farmhouse in Eastern Europe and my host's idea of hospitality was mixing pure spirits with water and offering me glass after glass. Friends told me that you should never drink freshly mixed spirits/water.  ???

I’m working on some bourbon and Coke, but my boss gave me three bottles of red wine today. Enjoying some wine of the month club, and he said that he gets so many wine shipments that the bottles are piling up in this house, and he can’t drink them all. So I said hey I got a solution for that, just give them to the old man.

That's probably the sulphites that are used to stop the fermentation process. Just avoid those wines and you should be good.

Tonight's libation -- Indio which will be followed with a Pacifico (only had one Indio in the house).

That is all.

I missed Margarita Twosday on 2-22-22. So I want a margarita now, but it’s very cold outside. And I’ll probably lose my good parking spot. I’ve got this bottle of red wine. It’s pretty good too. But I really want a margarita. So should I brave the cold and lose my parking spot, to go buy tequila and my margarita mix, or should I just enjoy the warm glow of a mixed Argentine red blend? I think we all know what I’m going to do.

I've just finished a fairly generic cup of coffee, and am feeling pleased with myself for buying a small plastic induction plate that runs off a USB port, together with a mug that has some kind of metal element in the base. And you can use the plate to charge phones and other devices.

No more sipping cold coffee as I clatter away on my keyboard.  :emot_dancing:

I just got back into town. I have a Voodoo Ranger IPA (9.5% ABV). I also have some Jack Daniels. I thought I had a trial in the morning, but the prosecutor called me late Friday and said they’re dropping the charges against my client. So I don’t have to be in court, but I don’t think I want to have a hangover on Monday. So definitely the Jack Daniels. LOL.

I'm sipping a very small measure of brandy, in the hope that it soothes my stomach and revives my appetite.

Reading Shiela’s posts, and feeling *very* horny myself. Like a full grown man. Fully grown.

Still drinking cheap premade margaritas, but I'd love to be swallowing a think and creaming protein shot right about now.

FYI in case you don't catch the drift, I want to nurse on the head of a hard cock till it's limp and dry.

Lol I'm going to regret this post when I'm sober on the morning, I just know it :emot_laughing:
