I'm a mick from a very irish area of PA so basically I will drink anything you put in front of me.

With that said, I am much like Toe - I am a seasonal drinker of Gin in the Spring/Summer and Scotch/Burbon in the Fall Winter.

Nothing like a good Dirty Gin Martini or Manhattan.

I've always been a gin fan.....nothing better in the heat of the summer than a nice refreshing gin & tonic with a couple slices of fresh cucumber!!!         About 10 years or so ago a friend turned me onto Hendrick's....I was hooked at first taste & haven't been without a jug of it in my liquor cabinet since....it always comes out on special occasions! & it truly is a very unique gin!

Wouldn't mind a sip of that Toe, but since it's winter, I'm gonna stick with my all time favourite: Apple Jenever or Dutch Apple Gin as you guys call it, by Filliers. Not just a shot with ice, no, I learned to drink it the right way in a bar in Mechelen/Malines: a long drink glass filled to the brim with just 2 ice cubes. A few years back Filliers started a series with vanilla and chocolate gin...HEAVEN! Happy New Year Jack!

Great wine, single malt scotch, rum, grey goose vodka.

And my absolute favorite, Louis XIII.

Works great as a Virgin Mary too!

(Joe's family, minus the ever present sheep)

Well, it's not quite noon in Texas, but it's almost 7 p.m. in Brussels... so I'm having a New Year's Eve Eve libation... TOE'S TEXAS BLOOD MARY.

To make Toe's favorite, "wake up it's time to go back to bed," morning libation, you simply must include these ingredients...

Vodka
Tomato Juice
Horseradish
Worcestershire Sauce
Tabasco
Celery Salt
Pepper
Ice
Celery Stalk

Now, I'm probably not going to get a lot done this afternoon.  Looking forward to the NEW YEAR!

I'm with Janus on this. Love my Diet Dew. With my health the way it is, I can no longer partake in the good stuff.

But seriously, what is it with the Irish and their Jameson Irish Whiskey?  I really can barely quaff the stuff, but my son's Irish relatives drink it like Gatorade.  We've got the drunk priest, the drunk uncles, and the drunk grandfather, all drinking their Jameson and singing old Irish ballads together, at family get togethers.  I'd never seen anything like it.  Still haven't.

Thanks Toe! I've spent far too much time looking for this thread the other day, and I eventually gave up. And, now, here it is!

And I was looking for it to prove you wrong:

Where's the cold beer?

'Though realistically I'm more like a couple of the teetotalers here.  I drink VERY rarely.  My general drink of choice is COKE.  Beer or liquor only a few times a year.
