Despite many trips to the USA I cannot remember ever tasting Dr. Pepper. Yesterday I saw someone buying some in the supermarket and was tempted to try it.  The blurb on the bottle said "comprising 23 different flavours (might have been flavors  ;D) and all of them mysterious". All I can say is - weird. Tasted like cherry cola mixed with cough medicine.  Not completely unpleasant as I did finish the bottle.

It was invented in Waco, Texas, by pharmacist Charles Alderton.  It was called “a Waco.” Alderton shared the formula with employee Wade Morrison, who took it to Virginia where he worked in another pharmacy for Dr. Charles Pepper. My favorite rumor is that Wade had the hot’s for Dr. Pepper’s daughter Ruth, and named the drink after him to win her affection. Apparently, it did not work, because the formula and the name ended back in Waco. The drink made its National debut at the 1904 St. Louis exhibition. It’s been a popular soda ever since.

More than a dozen dark roast coffee as a " coffee suicide"
All mixed together, my church gets my mix on Sunday AM!

I either go strait & black or mix in some flavored creamers. This Sunday I add some ice cubes to my Texas Strong mug at church.

The men will like it, not certain @ the females.

My “it’s complicated now” wife knows I like Nespresso, so she bought me some pods for my birthday. Stormio. The darkest, strongest, most caffeinated pod made. It will put hair on your chest. She equated that with French Roast. But it is French Roast on steroids. So now I have 30 of these Devil coffee pods. Not sure what to do with them.

And one of my favorites. Finished off the last can from a 12 pack yesterday.

Right now i'm drinking more Pineapple Peach Propel.

Its actually a blend of JD and an apple liqueur. I'm a big fan of apples, period. I'd rather have a dutch apple pie for my birthday than a birthday cake.

There's also Jim Beam Apple, which I've tried before. It has a more subtle apple flavor, but is still pretty good.

I love the Jack Daniel's Honey. I watched a show on Netflix called The Kominsky Method, and Michael Douglass character would order JD and Dr Pepper. I tried it and it was weird, but then I tried it with the honey and loved it.

I love Dr. Pepper, so I really should try that...

Haven't tried the JD Honey yet.

JD is the state alcoholic drink. Funny thing is, its made in Lynchburg, which is in a dry county. Never been to the distillery, but I'd love to take a tour.

With Mountain Dew also being TN made, now I'm wondering how JD and MD would taste......

I enjoy Bulleit. We visited the Stitzel-Weller Distillery 2 years ago.  I bought a couple of bottles.  I have since consumed those and purchased a spare for the bar.
Eagle Rare is gone, Blantons Gold tonight.  Campfire is going, but I'm watching coverage of the Queens passing.

Thrashed Apple Mountain Dew, which is a Kroger's exclusive, though I do believe stores Kroger owns or is affiliated with also carry it.

Hear your taste for apple mate.  Not much can top a good apple pie.  My personal favourite are nice crisp sour-ish apples.

Hear your taste for apple mate.  Not much can top a good apple pie.  My personal favourite are nice crisp sour-ish apples.

Granny Smiths are absolutely delicious.

Also, there's a Crown Royal Apple that's pretty good, as well. One of my neighbors gave me some a while back, while the wife and I were visiting.

Hell yea.  Didn't know you guys had that variety, but a nice, tasty Granny Smith is absolutely fab!
If I could get a couple hundred pounds of them for cheap, I'd love to make cider or calvados out of 'em..
