Arrogant Bastard tonight, and something I ordered arrived, Loch Lomond 14 yr old, single barrel scotch PH expanded my horizons so I ordered a bottle, sipping on it as I write out another part to the beach story. I can honestly say, my eyes are open, it is smooth, and quite tasty. But I have to be careful, as its 46% by volume. So a slow sipper for me. Not really getting the burn, which I think it is due to her age. Wanted to make a joke in poor taste about its age, but right now, I am relaxing as I write. Probably just a Wisconsin thing. Most bars around by me have Bloody Marry bars on Sunday. They give you a double shot of vodka and you basically make you own out of all the accoutrements, and garnishes.

I’ve been enjoying mint juleps lately, but I am lazy. Instead of making a simple sugar and swirling it with mint, I’ve been using crème de menthe. But tonight, my local bodega had none, so I bought peppermint schnapps. And I’ll be damned if I don’t think schnapps work better. This tastes much more like a traditional mint julep, not as mint julepy as MJ, who I really want to taste right now.

That Faux mint julep actually sounds quite good. Better than the original. I'm not a particular fan of whisky/whiskey/bourbon/... cocktails. But the faux one, I'm definitely gonna try. Maybe give it a good dose of vodka to make it a little less faux.

That's my favorite wine. Its a little sweet, but one of the few I like. Dan has a Pino that I like too, but he buys the Ménage a trios by the case because the oldest likes it too, so it's always readily available
