June 8th The Belmont Stakes

Okay for you horse race fans...........here we go.
June 8th the Belmont will be run at Saratoga Race Course NOT at Belmont Park (due to construction).
Every track has its ideocracies and this one is no different. The track surface is different from the Belmont (the race will be slightly different because of this , however the race is still one mile and a half).
So.....carrying on:
Betting (Box these horses)
Or if you wish play them as I list them
1    Mystic Dan  ........should be able to go the distance.
2    Seize The Grey ... will break for the front out of the gate, but not carry through the full race.
3    Sierra Leone ....... May surprise everybody
4    The Wine Steward ....My pick for a wild card, has the breeding and the class to go the distance (also this horse is a New York Bred).

So good to have our favorite KB tout back  with us.  I always enjoyed placing bets in my head then seeing if I win, place or show.

Actually, Sierra Leone led into the stretch in the Derby, then held out of the Preakness.
He is my pick in the Belmont.

In fact after more reading, a pair of $10 Exacta will work - 9/4 and 4/9

Just read positives about the 6 horse. maybe 6/9 and 9/6. lol

Weather going to have any effect?  I haven't even looked at weather for NY today.

The 17-1 horse wins.  Dornoch with Luis Saez in the saddle. 

I had Dan place about 5 bets for me.   
Jules winnings $0

Dans horse placed, so he won a couple dollars.

Not a great day for any of the favorites....
But Saratoga is like that.
The order of finish was a surprise with some outside horses.
1......Dornoch
2......Mindframe
3......Sierra Leone
Not much more to say, except anyone who bet on Dornoch at 17-1 odds made out with some good money.
Just have to wait until next year now........and it will start all over again.

The $2 exacta paid $326.50, and the $1 trifecta paid $473.

The addition of Honor Marie in fourth produced a $3,200.50 payout on a $1 superfecta wager.

So, some good news, there was a special promotion on Dans betting app.  If you bet $10 to win and your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd, you get reimbursed the $10. 

Well, I put $10 on Mindframe.  So I guess I won, kinda sorta
