When folk have finished bitching...
It is a simple fact that the vast majority of members are here to consume, not contribute. That is the nature of erotic sites. People already here are already on their chosen side of the consume/contribute divide.
If you want to attract people to the site, you are going to have to mention the site outside of the site. You are going to have to effectively stand up in public and declare "I read porn - please write something for me to masturbate over".
Naturally, the vast majority of members here, even the regulars and admins, are not going to feel able to do that with their regular social media accounts.
So, if you want to encourage new members (without poaching from other sites), the first thing you are going to have to do is to create annonymous social media accounts and go out into the world and search for them and directly invite them.
Secondly, you're going to have to have a more welcoming environment. That does not mean we all run up and hug new guys, it means that, when they arrive, before they join, the first thing they see should not be bitchiness, squabbling and condemnation of each other for being perverts.
Step one? Feel free. Go for it. I recommend making the invitations personal by private messages.
Step two? That's down to those already here, especially those who have already descended into squabbling in this topic.
You keep telling each other to stop. You keep saying you'll stop if the other stops.
So, stop already (and that includes thinking before responding to this post).
