So if you woke up and covid-19 was done, and everything back to "normal", what would your day be like?

I'd call up my girlfriends and we would head to our cafe for coffee.  After that I'd call work and make sure I got my job back and then tell brian to go fuck himself on a pallet of dog food right before I quit the warehouse.  Jump in the car and head over to my dad's house for lunch and watch a few episodes of the shows we watch together. Then back home for a shower before getting ready for a night out.  Meet back up with my girlfriends and head out for drinks, music, and (depending how many drinks) dancing.  If there isnt anybody there that works for me I'd give Jake a call, head back home and ride him till exhausted.

Get back to the gym. This old man needs to work hard at keeping the little I have left.  Finally have some warmer weather so I can walk now, but still need to do some weight work to stay toned (get re-toned)

Back to our regular Friday evening dinner out with friends and catch up with everyone.  We do a Zoom meeting Friday evenings, but it's just not the same.  Looking forward to meeting with fellow photo club member and share  picture and photo tips.

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

I'd be in Florida before the end of the day.   Maybe even Disney World before all the tourists from overseas come in and swamp it.

.
You might not know this, but I have a thing for Tom Brady (and Bill Clinton)

That when we go for our daily walks, no one will be wearing masks or crossing the street to avoid being near anyone. And seeing our grandchildren more often like we used to before the C-19.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

I had thought about travel, but not that far.  More like going up to door county, but it's already full of FIBs.   :emot_laughing:

The pandemic has changed everything. I don't think we will ever get back to what was normal.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the day someone announces that the nightmare is officially over. That's not going to happen all at once. Returning to some semblance of life as we knew it will be a gradual process and probably include a few steps backward along the way.

Other factors will play a large part in the 'new' normal. Divorce rates are going to skyrocket for at least a time, unplanned babies will be born, even bankruptcies are probably going to spike. All of those things will have an impact on people's lives in the near future.

Then there will be those who grieve for loved ones who were lost to Covid-19, and mourn because they were unable to spend time with them in the last few days or hours of their lives.

Personally, I haven't really been affected by the pandemic very much at all, for which I thank whatever deity is appropriate. On a scale of 1 to 10, my discomfort would barely register as high as a 2.

My granddaughter (age 19) told me that she now understands when her parents talk about the devastating days following 9/11 or I talk about the nightmare of living during the days following the murder of a president.

There will come a time when we look back on 2020 the way we do Pearl Harbor, the Kennedy assassination or the terrorist attacks of 2001, but it won't be anytime soon.

Your intentions were clear Shiela. At least to me.  We all know things will never be the same again.

I still think this is a fun topic and I gave you a WOO for it.  Let's keep in going gang...in the spirit of having fun. Toe gets it and posts his unrealistic dream. :emot_laughing:

My bad. If this post had been in the Fun and Games forum, my response would have been completely different.

Oh yeah, good call.  Never even crossed my mind to put it there.

Well, as I see it, we would just go back to sanitizing our language,
distancing ourselves from one another on our everyday
politically correct and socially justified way so that we don't
run the risk of catching the worst virus of them all...
freedom.
