National Handshake Day (Last Thursday in June)

I hate shaking hands.   A smile with a hello and a nod should suffice.  I've had my hands crushed too many times, even by women.  And in flu season... nuh uh!  It should be banned.

F U National handshake day!

Thanks for adding that Toe. Turns out June 28 is also:

Happy Heart Hugs Day
Ceviche Day
International Body Piercing Day

Since I was woefully inadequate in reporting the day's events, I have self-administered 10 lashes with a wet spaghetti noodle.

I understand it is smoked, basted, seasoned and resmoke (BBQ style again. So to all the Fort Worth people, congrats on Burnt Fat Ends of Bacon day.

TIL that chefs around the world have declared June 25th to be “Anthony Bourdain Day.” Such a bright life extinguished too early. I still grieve. I met him once at a book signing. Heard him speak several times on tour. Have never tried warthog anus. My idolization has limits.

If there are 100 millions cards sold and only 66 million dads, that's an average of 1.5 cards per dad. If only 50 million actually go to dads, that's only an average of 3/4 of a card per dad.

You ask a good question though. Why would someone buy a Father's Day card for anyone other than good old dad?

I got three this year, one from my daughter and two from my grandkids.   ;D
