Jewelry is a very personal thing.  But what do you prefer?  Silver or gold colored jewelry?  Of course there are other options as well.

As for me I love both.  Silver is easier to get and is more neutral, but my skin tone looks best in gold.

I really love the look of both brown and black leather.

Somehow Lois we have the same kind of tastes in this respect...

I wear a silver cross as I have done for more years than I care to remember... I love gold though and wear a gold wedding band and a gold watch. When I am going to a function and have to dress up I always wear gold cuff links and occasionally a gold tie pin.

Belts I wear are either brown or black and always leather. I wear a lot of black especially a leather jacket, something from my 'biking days...

You were a biker?  Ooooooh!

Also, Diamonds look best to me when in a silver-colored setting.

A few years ago now... but a couple of pile ups was the incentive I needed to switch to four wheels...

You are right about diamonds... personally I don't have any... ;D

Silver.    I wear a necklace 24 hours a day that hold a small gold ring.   I don't like to wear jewelry on my fingers all day long.    I'll only put rings and bracelets on for a night out.
Small diamond earrings.   Nothing big ever in my ears.   No hoops or dangling earrings.   I have some, but rarely wear them.

.
You might not know this, but I have a thing for Tom Brady (and Bill Clinton)

I wear my gold wedding & engagement rings 24/7, only ever removed for medical reasons since 1990.

Other than that, I wear a steel bracelet/bangle and a black plastic smart watch.

I like simple designs like swirls and waves. Also native american jewelry with turquoise is always a favorite.

Do men in the UK wear engagement rings? I've never heard of that before! In the U.S. only women wear engagement rings.

That's something for the What I Learned Today thread.

This is very pretty.

I'm also a silver person, and I've also been getting more and more into turquoise jewelry. One of my sisters-in-law gave me a Celtic cross made from silver and turquoise for Christmas, and I love it.

Most men don't, I think.

I wear mine on my right hand since we got married, because I don't have room between those particular knuckles to wear two rings comfortably (not my hand in pic).

The arrow was very helpful; I don't think I could have found the ring without it...  ;)

I think that's a very cool practice, and I've always wondered why only women wear engagement rings, and never men.

In the U.S., most engagement rings have a precious stone (usually a diamond), and most wedding rings are a more simple band. Many women wear their wedding band and engagement ring nestled together on their right hand, though some wear their engagement ring on their left hand and wedding band on their right hand, like you.

I assume that's also the norm in the U.K. I can't ever recall seeing a man here wearing an engagement ring (though some Irish-American men will wear a cloddagh ring as a type of engagement ring).

Her ring is diamonds around a heart-cut blue topaz in a white-gold mount (cost me over a month's salary at the time), mine's a signet ring with our initials engraved in a simple monogram.

My wedding ring is a plain band with a curved cross-section, hers has a curve in it to fit around her engagement ring (my design).  It's actually her second ring, since the first version was worn thin from rubbing on the engagement ring (nobody told us white gold is significantly harder then normal gold).  We got a jeweller to make a new ring from the worn ring and gold from her grandmother's wedding ring, this time with the curve.  The hallmarks don't match our wedding date any more, so we got the original date engraved inside the ring as well.

I used to wear my engagement ring (that was gold too) on my right hand until the hospital had to cut it off when I had an Anaphylactic shock and my hands swelled up alarmingly. They cut my wedding band off as well. I had that one repaired but not the engagement ring though I have that stored in a very safe place.

Years ago I wore a silver ring on my right hand that belonged to my grandfather before he died. I was keeping goal for my football (soccer) team, somehow the ball bent my finger out of shape and at the same time the ring snapped and both ends became embedded in my finger... Nasty and very painful but these things happen. Main thing is the opposition didn't score a goal...

I like both Gold and Silver.  But I like Silver more. It seems to fit my personality more, LOL.  Love silver rings and bracelets. I wear a Silver Cross every day.

I also love Native American jewelry which again is mostly silver and turquoise.

I have a lot of American Indian jewelry.  I don't wear them much though.  I just never got in the habit of accessorizing.  The one exception is earrings. I usually remember to put them on.

Thanks to this thread, I was reminded to put my ear ring in. A ruby stud in my left ear to be navigationally correct. If I ever get my right ear pierced, I have an emerald stud for that side.

No, really. I do.

As a celebration of our 20th anniversary (it will be here in a few months), my wife and I retired our relatively plain gold bands and replaced them with yellow and white gold bands with 6 diamonds in them.

I wear a gold chain when I go to work as a place to put my ring if need be. My hands shrink and swell quite a bit during the day. So, if my hand has shrunk excessively during the day, I take my ring of my finger and put it on the chain.

Otherwise, I don't wear jewellery. I do have a watch that I wear when I'm teaching motorcycle riding. Beyond that -- nada.

That is all.
