Okay, so anyone who has read my intro post knows I use this name for story writing. So, where did it come from?

When I wrote my first story for Kirsten's Archive, I had decided to separate myself from my previous nom de plume (for which I had cleaned most of the history up). At the time, I had created a (non-erotic) character codenamed (he was supposed to be a superhero) Army of One. I thought it would also be a perfect pen name for my story (at the time, I had only intended to write one for the archive, as a challenge from Karischino), and I just went from there.

Extinguishing the Flame is available on Amazon and supports Australian Bush fire relief.

Before I came here, I used a pseudonym relating to my other passion: intensity freak

Rolling into RavishU, I figured it was time to return to my roots.  The 'rope' part was a gimme... it had to be something that people would recognize, and Japanese words don't cut it.  What the hell does 'nawa' mean, anyways?

Now, WHAT to add to that 'rope'?  Lover?  Fancier?  Hmmm.....

<AHA! moment!>

Fiend!

noun
1. Satan; the devil.
2. any evil spirit; demon.
3. a diabolically cruel or wicked person.
Synonyms: monster, savage, brute, beast, devil.
4. a person or thing that causes mischief or annoyance:
   Those children are little fiends.
5. Informal. a person who is extremely addicted to some pernicious habit:
   an opium fiend.
6. Informal. a person who is excessively interested in some game, sport, etc.; fan; buff:
   a bridge fiend.
7. a person who is highly skilled or gifted in something:
a fiend at languages.

It's a word that's under-utilized for it's less-oft used definitions, though I like some of the imagery from various other definitions of the word at times.

Back when I first coined the pseudonym, I googled it: zero hits.  Cool, I'm unique!  Since then, 2 or 3 other people have stolen it, including a rope top somewhere in Northern Europe.  Well, if you come across any of the others, I'm the original, the only one with a true claim to the name.  The others are plagiarists with no honor.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)
