Who would you say are the scariest or freakiest musicians? I'm referring to the total package, looks, stage presence/antics, songs, vocals...

He is kind of scary looking in that commercial where the woman wins the radio contest and is offered a date with him... :P

Whenever i hear the first few chords of "Mother" by Danzig, the hairs stand on the back of my neck. I can't move or change the song right away. Glenn Danzig is one creepy son of a witch. He look creepy, sounds creepy, and the songs of his i've heard are creepy...

Are you missing something? I don't see why. I listed the criteria for scariest/freakiest musicians. Under which i include Marilyn Manson. Very freaky...

Much as I admire David Bowie he has gone through some pretty freaky stages in his career.

I love Lady Gaga but with each video she is becoming more and more like a female Marilyn Manson. Blah...

You've missed the  point of the thread. I 'look at the whole' picture, that's what makes a musician the scariest or freakiest. Danzig and Manson scare the hell out of me. Lady Gaga is just freaky, which is fine to a point. I loved her in "Poker Face", nothing freaky about that song or video. I loved her "Telephone" duet with Beyonce. I love the song "Bad Romance", the video is okay, and i love the song "You And I" but the video is definitely very weird.

Arthur Brown, definitely.

He used to tell a story of performing "Fire" at some small venue in the UK. When he appeared on stage in full make-up and blazing helmet, the women in the audience shrieked and their boyfriends went alpha-male, rushing the stage. Arthur had to flee the hall and run down the road, helmet still blazing, pursued by a horde of angry men.

I never met him and never got to see him perform. Apparently his God of Hellfire persona wasn't all fake. In private life he was into philosophy and esoterica.

King Diamond is pretty scary. I heard before that his Road crew used to say to Fans when they were near his Tour Bus to not make too much noise cause King was sleeping in his coffin and you don't want to disturb his sleep. His falsetto singing voice also adds to his creepy factor not to mention his make up plus his Satanic overtones.
