I take exception to the concept of Congress not compromising. This country was built in compromise. This government was designed to function by compromises.

Refusing to compromise results in Congressional gridlock.

Having a government that does not operate by compromise ensures authoritarian rule, and increases the likelyhood of social and politica unrest by those disenfranchised by the majority in power. I

Read this carefully. If you want to live under a government that allows for no compromises go live in Myanmar, or Iran, or Communist China for awhile, and then let us know how that works for you.

Joe the Plummer wasn't a very good Plumber/ businessman from what I can tell. He's an even worse when it comes to analysis of political systems.

The Founding Fathers didn't do too bad a job either, incorporating checks and balances into our government. They had way much more foresight than the present day politicians ever will have.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

I agree with Katiebee.  Compromise is essential in our political system.  Indeed this country was built on compromise.

As for the slogan "Take back America", what the right-wing really means is take America back from the liberals, non-religious, atheists, homosexuals, labor unions, college professors, teachers, etc., all of whom are also Americans.  It must be tough to love your country so much but hate most of the people living in it.

Rush Limbaugh is also a "conservative" media commentator as opposed to a bona fide "conservative" journalist.

Exactly what Rush claims to be, a media commentator. The Sullivan Group still holds his  status as being 'Correct 99.7% of the time', although an expected bump to 99.8% has been pending, it is rumored. The largest radio audience in the nation. Go, MaHa Rushie!!

That actilually places Rush in the same boat as Microsofts help files. Technically correct, but totally useless.
