Great Poem Toe.....
I really liked it.....
But as to what Wubbs said...
I say just the opposite....."Keep Dreaming" and let the dream become a different dream, one that can make you smile and remember fondly of those things that dreams are made of, because as you said "Dreams Linger" in the back of the mind.
