An interesting view from another political blog I frequent... I am not saying he is correct (this is conjecture, but it is logical conjecture), and the ideas in his statement are not unbelievable, given past events.
If you are anything like me you are watching the unfolding unrest and rioting in the Middle East and saying to yourself, geez these guys wouldn’t start this on purpose? They wouldn’t deliberately make a movie insulting the Muslim faith? No people are better than that.
But then if you are like me you have a moment of clarity, and you realize these guys would do anything to discredit the President, they would start an all-out assault to get their Puppet Romney elected, they would risk the lives of Americans in the middle east, and here at home to get what they want ~ Yes they would and yes they did! We are witnessing a planned and evil effort to cause the people of Muslim faith to hate, to react to a film that was designed to incite and cause harm. Who in this country wants to see another conflict open up and kill more innocent people? Not me, and I’ll bet not you, but it isn’t the same for people on the other side, and not the little sheeple that vote for them but those who would ask to be leaders, Leaders?
We are witnessing a very ugly campaign, an ugly effort to stir up hate and cause the public to take their eye off the prize. We are all watching this and shaking our heads and feeling helpless to change the course we appear to be heading. But I say we are not helpless, we are not going to be silent, and we are not going to allow this right wing hate to control our future. I don’t know about you but I am going out today and working to re-elect the one man in Washington who appears to have kept his head and is working to quell the insanity.
I will do all I can to see that my President has another four years to get us out of this war mongering attitude, he will lead with a composed and thoughtful plan to lift us out of the hell the Bush years brought on us, he will do this with a well-heeled cabinet and the support of the people, we can make this happen, we must make this happen, don’t lose faith and don’t give up. We will prevail as long as we keep ourselves focus and clear on our intent!
Just heard Nancy Pelosi say that they believe it was a planned terrorist attack that killed the ambassador. So maybe, and this is just conjecture (not going to say logical), this film was really was part of a plot by Islam extremists to upset the people in the Arab countries so they could carry out this attack under cover of protests and create anti American sentiment.
Who cares if the guy that made the film was a coptic Christian from Egypt. A group that has been persecuted in that country.
Bishops blast Coptic Christians behind anti-Muslim film
By Daniel Burke| Religion News Service, Updated: Friday, September 14, 4:21 PM
Coptic Christian leaders in the United States distanced themselves from an anti-Muslim film that has sparked protests in more than 24 countries, and denounced the Copts who reportedly produced and promoted the film.
“We reject any allegation that the Coptic Orthodox community has contributed to the production of this film,” the Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese of America said in statement on Friday (Sept. 14). “Indeed, the producers of this film have taken these unwise and offensive actions independently and should be held responsible for their own actions.”
Joseph Nassralla Abdelmasih, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula and Morris Sadek — all Coptic Christians who live in the U.S. — have emerged as the producers and promoters of the anti-Muslim film. Called “Innocence of Muslims,” the crude film depicts Islam’s Prophet Muhammad as a bumbling sexual pervert.
Protests against the film began in Egypt on Tuesday and have since spread to more than two dozen countries, including Libya, Yemen, Bangladesh, Sudan, Qatar, Kuwait, Jerusalem and Iraq, according to international reports. Four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, were killed in Libya on Tuesday. The Obama administration is investigating whether that attack was tied the film.
Joseph Nassralla, as he is known, heads a Christian charity. Nakoula is a convicted felon. Both live near Los Angeles, according to reports. Sadek is an incendiary activist who lives near Washington. Coptic leaders said they are investigating what ties — if any — the men have to mainstream Copts in the United States.
There are about 300,000 Copts in the United States, most of whom live in Los Angeles and the Northeast. Copts in Egypt, where the faith was born, regularly face discrimination and violence at the hands of the Muslim majority, according to the State Department.
Bishop Serapion of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles, Southern California and Hawaii said he “strongly rejects dragging the respectable Copts of the Diaspora” into the controversy.
“The producers of this movie should be responsible for their actions,” Serapion said in a statement. “The name of our blessed parishioners should not be associated with the efforts of individuals who have ulterior motives.”
