An interesting view from another political blog I frequent... I am not saying he is correct (this is conjecture, but it is logical conjecture), and the ideas in his statement are not unbelievable, given past events.

Quote
If you are anything like me you are watching the unfolding unrest and rioting in the Middle East and saying to yourself, geez these guys wouldn’t start this on purpose? They wouldn’t deliberately make a movie insulting the Muslim faith? No people are better than that.

But then if you are like me you have a moment of clarity, and you realize these guys would do anything to discredit the President, they would start an all-out assault to get their Puppet Romney elected, they would risk the lives of Americans in the middle east, and here at home to get what they want ~ Yes they would and yes they did! We are witnessing a planned and evil effort to cause the people of Muslim faith to hate, to react to a film that was designed to incite and cause harm. Who in this country wants to see another conflict open up and kill more innocent people? Not me, and I’ll bet not you, but it isn’t the same for people on the other side, and not the little sheeple that vote for them but those who would ask to be leaders, Leaders?

We are witnessing a very ugly campaign, an ugly effort to stir up hate and cause the public to take their eye off the prize. We are all watching this and shaking our heads and feeling helpless to change the course we appear to be heading. But I say we are not helpless, we are not going to be silent, and we are not going to allow this right wing hate to control our future. I don’t know about you but I am going out today and working to re-elect the one man in Washington who appears to have kept his head and is working to quell the insanity.

I will do all I can to see that my President has another four years to get us out of this war mongering attitude, he will lead with a composed and thoughtful plan to lift us out of the hell the Bush years brought on us, he will do this with a well-heeled cabinet and the support of the people, we can make this happen, we must make this happen, don’t lose faith and don’t give up. We will prevail as long as we keep ourselves focus and clear on our intent!

Just heard Nancy Pelosi say that they believe it was a planned terrorist attack that killed the ambassador. So maybe, and this is just conjecture (not going to say logical), this film was really was part of a plot by Islam extremists to upset the people in the Arab countries so they could carry out this attack under cover of protests and create anti American sentiment.

Who cares if the guy that made the film was a coptic Christian from Egypt. A group that has been persecuted in that country.

Bishops blast Coptic Christians behind anti-Muslim film

By Daniel Burke| Religion News Service, Updated: Friday, September 14, 4:21 PM

Coptic Christian leaders in the United States distanced themselves from an anti-Muslim film that has sparked protests in more than 24 countries, and denounced the Copts who reportedly produced and promoted the film.

“We reject any allegation that the Coptic Orthodox community has contributed to the production of this film,” the Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese of America said in statement on Friday (Sept. 14). “Indeed, the producers of this film have taken these unwise and offensive actions independently and should be held responsible for their own actions.”

Joseph Nassralla Abdelmasih, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula and Morris Sadek — all Coptic Christians who live in the U.S. — have emerged as the producers and promoters of the anti-Muslim film. Called “Innocence of Muslims,” the crude film depicts Islam’s Prophet Muhammad as a bumbling sexual pervert.

Protests against the film began in Egypt on Tuesday and have since spread to more than two dozen countries, including Libya, Yemen, Bangladesh, Sudan, Qatar, Kuwait, Jerusalem and Iraq, according to international reports. Four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, were killed in Libya on Tuesday. The Obama administration is investigating whether that attack was tied the film.

Joseph Nassralla, as he is known, heads a Christian charity. Nakoula is a convicted felon. Both live near Los Angeles, according to reports. Sadek is an incendiary activist who lives near Washington. Coptic leaders said they are investigating what ties — if any — the men have to mainstream Copts in the United States.

There are about 300,000 Copts in the United States, most of whom live in Los Angeles and the Northeast. Copts in Egypt, where the faith was born, regularly face discrimination and violence at the hands of the Muslim majority, according to the State Department.

Bishop Serapion of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles, Southern California and Hawaii said he “strongly rejects dragging the respectable Copts of the Diaspora” into the controversy.

“The producers of this movie should be responsible for their actions,” Serapion said in a statement. “The name of our blessed parishioners should not be associated with the efforts of individuals who have ulterior motives.”

Thank you, Gia.

As we all know, this disaster befalling us cannot be Barack Obama's fault, so it is logical to try to find the real person with the real failed policies that could cause respect for the United States to be so low as to have our Embassies attacked worldwide.

Jay Carney says they have determined without any doubt that these attacks are not directed toward the United States, or anything we have done, or any administration policy. Everyone will believe Jay Carney, as he used to be with Time Magazine, and so he is objective, or he would not be there.

Damn Mitt Romney... What was he thinking... This is not a time for patriotism, and no time to defend ourselves, when the world knows we are to blame, after all. The voters will see through skewed thinking that we have a weak foreign policy, don't know whether Egypt is an ally or not, spinning it every which way even now...

We know Mr. Obama is strong, and well regarded in the Middle East, and his speech in 2009 in Cairo was so well received, he received a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts, and attitude. He has played the cards just right, distancing the US from Israel, displacing the leader in Libya by letting NATO expend all their ammunition, then supplying them with billions more in weapons and fuel and pilots even, at no charge, to get the government we wanted in place. They have our backs.

The voters will understand we did not take sufficient steps to protect our Ambassador and Diplomats on the anniversary of 9/11, cause this was not about that, it was about a movie no one has heard of or seen... yep, that's the ticket... And the voters would expect our Marines to be unarmed, after all guns are dangerous. Avoiding having any guns around will avoid any Marine going nuts and shooting some host country citizens.
Sounds like sound thinking, and Mr. Obama will be recognized and rewarded for it.

Glad this has all been settled.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Pays Tribute to Slain Diplomat and EVE Online Gamer

http://kotaku.com/5943472/secretary-of-state-hillary-clinton-pays-tribute-to-slain-diplomat-and-eve-online-gamer

In a memorial service today for four American diplomats assassinated in Libya earlier this week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid tribute to Sean Smith, a consular officer for the United States who also served as a diplomat in EVE Online and as a member of that MMO's real-world governing body.

In her eulogy, Clinton directly referenced Smith work in that video game's community.

Clinton, in a service attended by President Obama today at Andrews Air Force Base, said that Smith was survived by "a loving wife, Heather, two young children—Samantha and Nathan—and scores of grieving family, friends and colleagues.

"And that's just in this world," said Clinton, "because in the virtual worlds Sean helped create, he is also being mourned by countless competitors, collaborators and gamers, who shared his passion."

Smith died Tuesday in Libya in an attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission there, an attack apparently responding to a hate-filled, anti-Islam video produced and promoted by private American citizens and uploaded to the Internet earlier. Rioting continues across the Middle East in the aftermath of the attacks and the video's notoriety.

Smith was known as "Vile Rat" on the Something Awful forums and in Eve Online, and likewise fulfilled the role of a Diplomat in that game, as he did in his real world duty. He also served on the Council of Stellar Management (CSM), a panel of players voted into place by their peers, which represents community concerns in meetings with developer CCP.

Three Week Anniversary Diplomat Murders In Libya Today

Well, at least our President and Secretary Of State have given us the facts:

Well, at least our House Intelligence Committee has held in depth hearings, and the facts:

?

Well, at least our Senate Intelligence Committee has held in depth hearings, and the facts:

?

Well, we know the Ambassador was carried off by friendly Libyans who love him...

Not!

Well, we know the Ambassador had a beefed up American Security Team...it was 9/11...

Not!

Well, we know two retired Navy Seals were assigned to protect our Ambassador...

Not!

Well, we know President Obama did not let this bump in the road interrupt his fund raising... Vegas, Baby!

Yep!

Well, we know our FBI has secured the site, and will get to the bottom of this...

Get back to us after the election.

Well, we know our National media and White House Press Corps will not rest, will dig deep and tell us everything they can learn... Front page news from World media...

Get back to us after the election.

Have you heard of national security Joan?  There are things about certain situations that will not be casually revealed to just anyone who wants details.

Hey, why am I telling you this?  The right screams about national security not allowing full disclosure all the time, so I'm sure you know all about the need to keep details hush-hush.

So the only reason you are wanting full disclosure now is because it concerns Obama right?

Has the White House spokes puppet claimed "National Security" as the reason for no real information being released? It will be three weeks tomorrow since the Ambassador, the State Department IT person, and two ex-Navy Seals from some unidentified employer had an autopsy at a NATO base in Germany... any cause of death released? NOPE...

Will our Ambassador be buried at Arlington Cemetery? Has he already been buried? Will he ever be buried? Will the President attend? Will or did the Secretary of State attend? Or will they send VP Joe Biden, perhaps? NADA... and no White House Press Corps curiosity?

Can you imagine any previous Presidential Administration not providing security for our Diplomats on September 11 anniversary, and the press not being curious? Congressional weasels in both parties can be expected to duck and weave, and find reasons to do nothing this close to any election... The President swore not to do this type of stuff, was to be the most transparent administration in history, remember?

No curiosity from Lois, or anyone else on this board, it seems... we'll just wait for some late Friday night press release in December I suppose, or maybe to mask the poor Job numbers some month, but certainly nothing that is critical of Obama's foreign policy or behavior will be forthcoming prior to the election. After the election, what does it matter.

I know they are dead and I am sad about that Joan.  I don't need gruesome details.  As for burial details, that is for next of kin to know, not you or me.

So if national security has not been mentioned, maybe all that is to be known has already been revealed.  maybe your questions are pointless because you are demanding answers that do not exist and are simply posed to make it look like the government is not revealing something.

Since you are a creature of Breitbart's, all of your reasoning is suspect.

I suppose it is nice to know the Press is less interested in foreign affairs, or gun running by an Administration. Good news for President Romney. Same with health care, Medicare fining hospitals who readmit patients, just other pressing news...

Chuck Schummer has been so quiet. Not a peep from Nancy Pelosi. Should be a breeze...

Ok, Athos, how does asking for details about the cause of death of murdered Americans fit your definition of "crapping" over them? Did they suffocate? Did our Ambassador die on the operating table after being carried by loving Libyans to the nearest hospital? Whose blood was smeared on the column at the Chancery? On both sides of that column?

Will they ever be buried? Who attended from the State Department, or Administration any funeral had so far... the two ex-Seals were buried in closed family ceremonies, with NOT one reporter bothering to cover the events, it seems.

The only 'news' we have that is trustworthy comes from a CNN reporter who scoured the area the Obama Administration has designated a "crime scene", and located Ambassador Stevens personal Journal, which stated his trepidations and security concerns... for which CNN was criticized by the Obama Administration, and ostracized by some MSM reporters... To date, the FBI have yet to respond in person, not even in Libya yet...

Fuck you, Athos!

And just who says they haven't been buried yet?  As for the military families, have you ever thought the press was not invited because their families did not want teams of Breitbart Paparazzi swarming the place?

Egyptian Populace To Hopefully Get
Something Better Than Democracy
Out Of All This

CAIRO—After more than a week of political protests, bloodshed, and cultural upheaval in Egypt, analysts are holding out hope that the Egyptian people will get something more out of the whole ordeal than just democracy.

"While having a truly representative system of government would be an improvement, you'd like to think after all they've been through the people of Egypt could be rewarded with something better than that," said Brookings Institution senior fellow Kenneth Pollack, adding that having a form of government in which power is derived from the people "isn't all it's cracked up to be."

"They suffered under Mubarak for 30 years and this is the consolation prize they get? Democracy? At least give them all new jobs, or $5,000 in cash. Something."

At press time, Brookings fellows were pooling some money together to buy the city of Cairo a "first-rate" new zoo.
