You are simply spinning what is actually going on. First, McConnell states the President was demanding a "vote" on the American Jobs Act.

That is incorrect: the President called for Congress to "pass" the American Jobs Act.

That is the opposite of what McConnell wants, he wants to kill it with the filibuster. In this exchange, McConnell is killing the AJA while 'pretending' not to, to fool the base, and Reid is attempting to avoid a filibuster (which he reffers to as a stunt) and get a full debate as well as an up or down vote on the American Jobs Act.

He is NOT "blocking" the act.

The Russian commerce bill is a simple majority wins, 51 votes I believe... McConnell pointed out that the bill sent by the White House has no support, not enough to get 51 votes by Democrats on this bill, as an amendment.

Of course it will be filibustered, as it is not and never was a serious effort.
