That got you a WOO from me Writer. I was a young lad just a little over a year out of the Army when this came out. I was working at my first job in radio. I loved playing this song. As you said it was a break from the hectic pace of spinning records and playing commercials.

It was so mellow. You might call it being...
"Mellow Yellow".

My great uncle used to listen to this song in his car at family reunions and groove to this song. I wasn't allowed to hang out with him much as a kid, but as a teen, me and gf would lay on the trunk of his car and mellow to this song. I mentioned Hinder in the sit down or stand concert thread, but this song can define a few peoples relationship. My marriage is a good one, but its not that fake perfect. There are times where we were at each others throats, mostly over money, kids and expenses. But this song.

We did go home and got stoned.

Mostly a little herb with some friends in the back of my truck, while Mom had the kids for the afternoon. But this song is right. Sex is soo much better when she was mad at me, or we at each other. They call it hatefucking, but I call it working the problems out.

Now to get "stoned" its a gabby and cyclo and muscle rub, lol. for her its a hit of her cbd pen. not like the old days where we would pilfer a bottle of wine and smoke out with friends in high school. Too old for that shit.
