I text stop every time, and then block the number. I have no problem texting stop to every number that sends me that stuff.

I sometimes get calls from people looking for a McKenna, when I tell them wrong number, they persist. I then threaten them with harrassment, block the number, and the calls stop for about a year, and then they start back up with a new number

That is the worst, Sheila. I got a new phone number in 2002. It seems the previous owner of that number owed a lot of people a lot of money. The first call was about 3 months in when word got out that "Chuck" was answering his phone again, then the calls really started coming. Chuck dealt with some mean people over the years. Nobody believed I wasn't Chuck so I was threatened and  received calls and texts at all hours of the day. After a week of calls, I would say stuff to piss them off even more, but when they mentioned what they would do to Chuck's family members I stopped that behavior.  After two weeks of that I got a new number.  I turned my cell phone records over to police and told them what happened in case something happened to any of Chucks family members.
