Passing on a sad bit of news, I think this topic is the best place to post it....

I've been on vacation the last 5-ish days, checking in occasionally.  While I was gone, I received a PM from Remmy.  He has decided to leave us.  I enjoyed his time here.

“People come, people go – they’ll drift in and out of your life, almost like characters in a favorite book. When you finally close the cover, the characters have told their story and you start up again with another book, complete with new characters and adventures. Then you find yourself focusing on the new ones, not the ones from the past.” - Nicholas Sparks

It's always the good ones.

Shit.  I’d love some oysters right now.

Then come visit (although best to wait for September that has an r in it).  Oysters are second only to blue crab in popularity around here.

"WWJ in DETROIT"

I used to listen to them every morning when going to work.  Drive home was music.  But going to work....traffic and weather on the 8's, along with news, 24/7. I've met a number of the personalities when I had that side gig playing piano.

FN3: SWWD: August 4 is Single Working Women's Day, a day reserved to recognize the important role that single working women play in our communities and societies. Grossard may have made up the story to impress the mayor of Aÿ while trying to borrow money for his monastery.

There was a military school that was a BIG part of my life for five years. Report back date for students varied from August 12th to August 15th, dependent on which day was a Thursday (yeah, I know, Thursday is weird, but a big part of the date was that it had to be 90 days after graduation). Check in started at 8 AM, barber shop opened at 9 AM, but everyone had to be in uniform by 5:30 and first formation was supper formation at 6 PM.
