Daughter, Son in law and their dog hit town Friday afternoon from Northern New York. It's a grueling two day drive.
Sadly they only can stay a week this trip. We're trying to pack as much time together as possible. That accounts for my lack of activity here.
Saturday we grabbed a pizza and went out to where they stay and had a good visit and played with the dog of course. They were still tired from the trip. We stuffed ourselves with pizza and visited.some then we left them to rest and settle in.
Sunday we had a full family gathering as Wife's son joined all of us for a great brunch. Daughter was saying she'd like her hair trimmed up a bit. A couple days before I was close enough where the wife could see my hair and she said, "You need a haircut!". My body wouldn't cooperate so wasn't able to get out before the "kids" got here.
So after brunch my girl and I hopped in the car and headed out to a clip joint. As expected Dad got stuck with the bill.
I wasn't around when my daughter was growing up so it felt so good to do a "Dad thing" like pay for my kids hair cut. (Ok, she's in her 50s but she'll always be my little girl)
This morning they went shopping for us which included 30 cases of water. I have a lot of trouble lifting that much any more. Now I have enough to get me through the winter.
Tomorrow daughter and I hit the road for a cheese run to Wisconsin. Egads, if the daughter could read my mind and learn about my cheese runs from a couple years ago.
Will try to keep checking in to KB through the week. Just know I love you guys.
