"Isn't that the point of going out on a date, two people who hardly know each other, getting to know each other?" She pointed out.
"Yes, it is," I smiled back.
"I would love to have you take me out to dinner tonight," Dakota replied. "I don't have to get dressed up, do I?" She asked.
"You don't want to?"
Dakota shook her head.
"Only if I have to walk the Red Carpet!" She giggled.
"Where do you want to go?" I asked.
She thought about it for a few moments.
"How about burgers?" She suggested.
"If that's what you want . . ."
Dakota nodded, grinning.
So we went out in t-shirts and jeans, Dakota wore a hat to hide her hair under and sunglasses. We went to a burger dive where I was sure no one even heard of Dakota Fanning [she was too] and had a good time.
She ordered a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings, telling me that when she was home she had to watch what she ate.
"I'm told no one wants to see a fat Dakota Fanning on the silver screen," She giggled.
"I would," I said. "Skinny, fat, short, tall, White, Black, I wouldn't care at all!"
Dakota laughed.
"Thanks! You mean it, don't you?"
I nodded.
"But to tell you the truth, I like you just the way you are."
Dakota blushed.
There were pool tables and after we ate I attempted to teach her how to play. She was laughing more than hitting the cue ball.
"I had a great time tonight," Dakota smiled when I dropped her off at her trailer
"I did too," I said. "Will.you go out with me again?" I asked.
I loved seeing her eyes light up.
"Really?!? I mean yes!"
There were many agains as the production rolled on. At least two or three nights a week. We really enjoyed each other's company, and I was definitely in love with her. And I had the feeling she was in love with me.
