Team Minnesota - A PWHL Makes History in Home Opener

First home game of Minnesota's women's pro hockey team blew the doors off the arena in their first home game. They beat Montreal 3 zip before a record crowd of over 13 thousand fans.

That's a record for a women's pro hockey team. Many of the fans were young girls wearing team jerseys from their home town. Looks like a good future for women's hockey here.

I love that I have lived long enough to see the tremendous advances made in women’s athletics. Title IX, and the commitment to dedicating equal resources, opportunity, and compensation to female athletes. Can only imagine what the “girls wearing team jerseys” will live to see.  I think it’s great.
