so I crunched the math.  there are 18.5million registered interent users in Pakistan.  there are 227million in the US.  25% of total searches are for porn (its #3 after mp3/music and hotmail).  Total number of US internet searches  213million per day.  Pakistan per day: 1.7million.  US porn searches per day: 53millionish.  So if every search in Pakistan was for porn each day, that would still be just under 50 times less than the US in porn searching.  Possible.  But I think FoxNews may be off a bit in their reporting.  Shocking I know.

That's probably based per capita.  I don't think that there is that much to look at over there (especially with all the women in burkhas or locked up), so anyone that has access to the web is going to look at what they can't see elsewhere-RHL

Maybe a more interesting comparison would be to compare the percentage of fundamental Christians who surf porn web sites versus the Muslims in Pakistan who surf porn web sites. Something that is considered taboo does bring about more curiosity.

In talking with a friend from Iran, he said the attempt to search for porn there is very high.  But, the state places huge restrictions on what can be accessed.  Not all is blocked but they attempt to block most of what is possible.  This could be similar for other Muslim countries, including Pakistan. 

As for Fox, aren't they simply reporting the data provided them by Google?
