It's hard to believe, but he says it's true. Willie Nelson has said, for health reasons, he's no longer smoking pot. :emot_weird:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/music/2019/12/04/willie-nelson-has-quit-marijuana-smoking-after-breathing-issues/2604719001/

Citing years of abuse to his body and especially to his lungs, the old outlaw of Country Music is giving up his weed. This just as state after state makes marijuana legal, even for "recreational use".  Wonder how the old guy feels about that.  Just when he has to quit...it's legal.

Locally, Minnesota Democrats are preparing bills for the up coming session of the legislature to legalize marijuana.  That's the same legislature who is never able to pass necessary funding bills.  More times than not, they end up having to be called back for a special session...costing taxpayers more money.  Oh right...that money goes to the legislators.

Better quit now before MJ throws this into 1408...or maybe we need a 420 room. :emot_laughing:

Willie is 86.  I think he loves singing more than weed.  He had to cancel his summer tour dates, due to respiratory complaints.  His son Lukas has been touring with him, so maybe dad wants to set a better example.  Hoping he’s with us for many years to come.

Well, we know who we can count on to carry the torch.
