Fair point, I'm just saying that even compared to the other officers his conduct at least raises a few eyebrows. I'm not convicting him, just pointing out that his conduct at the very least merited investigation.

I dunno, from what I'm reading the officer in question used excessive force on the girl, but the fact that two individual males were approaching him during a take down (made him out numbered), he probably thought they were coming to assist the girl.
To be honest, there are a lot more guilty people here than just this one officer. The kids were not exactly acting like angels, and the residents seemed to be glad that the police showed up to break up the party.
This seems like an all around bad situation, created by the kids at the pool, then made worse by the police.

I do agree that people need to think carefully about how an officer may interpret their actions. I have seen in the past where people kept moving into an officers blind spot, and moving around him while he was making an arrest and the cop was clearly uncomfortable with their positioning and proximity yet when he gave them orders to keep back they started citing charter rights and such (I love how drunk people always become instant lawyers). They failed to see how thee cops may not be so much bullying them as trying to control a situation.

I don't doubt for a second that the kids were wrong, and if I were one of the parents I would want these clowns removed but even when citizens are acting stupidly, cops are supposed to control these situations, not aggravate it by going ballistic.

Pretty much, but it appears it was primarily one cop. The other two seemed a bit more in control
