I don't necessarily mock conspiracy theorists. I just expect them to prove their theories instead of putting the onus on me to prove them wrong.

It is indeed a strange coincidence. Or, as the narrator of the video puts it, a "statistical anomaly." But phtlc is ______, coincidences are strange by definition.

I didn't watch the whole video, but I didn't find any evidence for a "conspiracy." More important, I think the "coincidence" might be a result of the dialectic of stardom. They began with early struggles to achieve success, found success and rose to stardom, and then became disillusioned with the life-wrecking consequences of stardom, or found that stardom wasn't what they believed it would be. Throw in substance abuse -- and the majority on this list died of substance abuse or suicide fueled by substance abuse -- and this theory seems to hold.

And while statistical analysis is not my strong point, I suspect this is a akin to "everything happens in threes" phenomenon. You know, within a few months, there are three major plane crashes, or three world leaders die, etc. The problem with that theory is that the people believe "everything happens in threes" simply stop counting at three. Thus, I wonder how many prominent musicians died at 26, or 28, or 31, etc.?

So what is the conspiracy?  Is someone out to kill 27 year old musicians?

I have no idea why they call it a "conspiracy" but it's definitely weird that all these great musicians just happened to die at age 27.
