Well without the name "University" in the name I would think it hard to get confused by it.  But then again with so many other cool names to choose from it seems like looking for trouble.

Unfortunately, there are way to many folks who will confuse the two. It would seem to me that the Houston College of Law is looking to create additional business because of this. In many Americans' eyes, college and university are the same thing (Q- where did you go to college? A- University of Southern California.) even though they are quite different.
