Last year, in Psychology Today, they had pointed out that before the year 2000, most centerfolds in Playboy were natural while after 2000 they were mostly shaved. They also went on to find that 88% of women under 24 engage in some kind of trimming, while 52% of women over 50 leave it alone.

Last week the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists issued guidelines to plastic surgeons who are facing increased demand among teenage girls to have plastic surgery on their external genitalia so that they can be in line with "whatever airbrushed feminine idea they are seeing on the Internet."   :emot_weird:

When you say plastic surgery on the external genetalia, I assume you are talking laser hair removal.    I could be wrong, but I didn't think this is a permanent solution.   Retreatments are necessary.

I think some this 'grooming' talk has to do with where your relationship is.    A woman over 50 is not out and about, or dating.   Most are in relationships with the same person and she's settled.   
A girl in her 20's that is sexually active is always going to be concerned with how she looks and want to be in style. 
Where as I've been single my whole life.   I've never been a fan of the Dasha look ^^, though that's what many of the younger girls like.  It seems like the majority of the pictures and videos posted here are the same.  I'm in my 40's, not my preference but it looks good on some girls.
I've always kept things neat down there.  I prefer to have hair above the (GOD THIS IS SO AWKWARD TELLING SUCH PERSONAL INFO)...   I prefer to have my 'lips' shaved, with a landing strip.   The few guys over the past 8 years seemed to like it.   I like the look.   I also don't mind the triangle, though I last had it almost a decade ago.   I like the look on my friend though.   The younger girls seem to be completely clean or have the postage stamp or minimal hair.    It's the same as hair and clothes.  What's in style.   The 18-26 crowd is always going to be the hot trend setters.  They always have been.

I can't say I have too much of a preference one way or the other as long as it is neat. T he Natural look is great to an extent but if everything has just been left to grow wild it puts me off a bit.
For some reason I just feel that if you aren't caring enough to at least trim then you may not be caring enough to be clean :)

Well I am in my 40's and I am shaved and have been since my early 30's. Before that was very neatly trimmed. I have 3 daughters ranging in age from late teens to mid 20's and they are all shaved(at least I am pretty sure).  Most of my friends (ages 25 to 55) are either shaved or very neatly trimmed. 

While I prefer to keep myself bare, I find some hair(from Clit area and North, LOL) on women to very sexy.  But I do find to totally natural unkempt look to be a turnoff.  But to each her own.

At one point in time, both Mrs JBRG and I kept ourselves shaved. Lately, I keep a patch above my cock furry but my cock, testicles and belt line are bare. My wife used to shave herself clean but eventually she just trimmed. Nowadays its like a frigging forest down there... Myself I just keep things trimmed these days... Used to be totally shaved eventually I let the pubes start to grow again... At least they're still in control...
