Vin Scully announces return to Dodgers for 66th season in 2015

As someone who's had to sit through Harry Caray and more recently Hawk Harrelson broadcasts, when Vin hangs it up will be a sad day.

The man could make reading the dictionary aloud interesting.

It will be a sad day when he departs.   Detroit lost Ernie Harwell a few years back.   It, too, was a sad day.

Unfortunately, I don't get to hear VS very often.   Maybe once every couple of years.   Will have to make a point of listening to him on my MLB app some time soon.

Can you imagine the baseball history VS can tell us?  I remember when Jack Brickhouse used to call the Cub games and he would fill in the down time with baseball lore.  Athos, you can have Harrelson.  Steve Stone is way better.

Harrleson is terrible and crazy.  Steve Stone at times has no idea how to reply to his completely off base ramblings.

I grew up with two great announcers, Chick Hearn of the Lakers and Vin Scully. Well we lost Chick years ago. It will be a sad day when Vin departs.
