The funny thing is, this is the same theme we've always had. There's some sort of error in the system or files, and it's not respecting the fixed-width that it's had for years. Like you, I actually like it this way, and it's easier to read on a phone or tablet.
We'd have been online several days earlier, but the last good backup I had was on July 4th, and there were too many posts since then that we didn't want to lose, so Lois and I decided to wait a few days until I could get a final backup from Hostgator. Once I had all of your last posts, I switched within a couple of hours. I already had the files over here, just needed the final updated forum database to make it whole. Yep, we care about preserving the posts you folks make!
