"In a letter to the hall, band fans and "To Whom It May Concern," Rose listed several reasons for not attending Saturday's ceremony in Cleveland, including a feeling that the hall does not respect him.

In declining his own induction, he added: "I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf."

The posted comments from this story should be enough for anyone that still even had an ounce of respect for Axl to fully see that he really is a complete ASS

Welcome to the Jungle was a huge hit when I was a little girl... I liked it then.

As I grew older, I figured out what a major tool Axl was... This only confirms my suspicions from my childhood.

He sure is an ass. I mean OK you don't like your former bandmates for whatever stupid reason,but don't dis the fans that made you what you are and not allow yourself to get an honnor that is being given for your talent and efforts in the music world. I think he (Axl) has some serious hang ups! I bet his pal Eddie Trunk (Metal DJ, and Host of VH1 Classics That Metal Show) is probably tossing his hands up wondering why he's being an ASS! :emot_coolasssshk:
